Long time since I up dated, some of us went to Polhill to shop and have tea together, for once it was not raining, presents were bought, Julie bought herself a new chair, to curl up in front of the fire in with a good book, but she won't get it for a bit. The following week we had some ladies demonstrating Scottish Dancing, ind that the snow is all gone.including Julia and the lovely Wendy their leader. A fortnight later Fosse Bank School came and sang Carols. On Friday it is the Christmas Lunch, lets hope they are all fit and able to come and the snow is all gone.

Concert
Friday October 29th, we had a concert, several children gave up their half term afternoon to come and entertain us, we started with Ellen on the piano, Michael on
Trumpet, Amelia on Piano, Victoria on Cello, Amy on Flute, Singing and Guitar, Rachel Sang, Emma on Piano. We then had tea followed by a very lively performance from Tim Moffet on Drums, Steven Hogg and Jake Flint on Guitar. So you can see we had a wonderful varied every afternoon. I am sure I have remembered every one, but thanks to all Mothers who got them there and Suzanne who accompanied those who needed it on the piano.

October 15th
Today Jean Bruce came with her collection of Victorian under wear, very beautifully sewn amazing the work that went into a petticoat.
Kay learning to sit like a lady while wearing a crinoline, with out showing an ankle, much harder that she thought.

I am not sure what the gentlemen made of the afternoon.

Jean and Barbra with a beautiful beaded dress.

October 1st Our Autumn Bazaar.
The weather was terrible it poured with rain and was cold, we set up the hall, there was so much brica a brac. We served a cup of tea with a slice of pie, Helen made wonderful lemon merigue pies, then there were apple, blackberry and pumkin pies, it was very popular with the members but no one else from the village came, the weather was to blame. Despite this we made over £300 towards the Christmas dinner

September 17th our outing, a trip on the Allington Belle, up the river through Maidstone.
Nice bright day, cool wind.took some rugs just in case, not needed. Coached picked us up and we arrived at the river where the boat was waiting, Beverley the girl who runs it was there to meet us and tell the coach where to drop us, walked short way and got on board as we neared Maidstone fish and chips was delivered, followed by tea and cakes.Sun shone river looked lovely, went to East Farleigh, turned round and home, saw a Kingfisher. Coach there to take us all home.

September 3rd, meeting was here in my garden, tried to tidy up a bit, weather OK not wonderful, short on pictures as Ann Wood away at a wedding. We had a good afternoon, lots of chat.Richard was home before the members left, Daphne Widdas fancied a trip home in his Lotus, so he took her, did get a nurse to help get her out of car.
