Next meeting, The outing, for a pub lunch in Rye

May 21st

It was a lovely sunny day, we had tea in the Wadsworth's garden. A lovely garden, partly surrounded by old walls, it was once the garden to the dower house, which has long since gone, there is are wonderful views over Fairlawn estate. Ruth and her family have some delightful pecking bantams scratching around. Tea was sandwiches, scones, sweet and savory followed by cakes.WE all had a great time.

These ladies assured me that a robin serenaded them all through tea.

Summer Meetings

It was too cold to have tea in the bluebell wood but some members went for a stroll through the blue bells and enjoyed themselves, such a shame, will try for tea in wood next year and hope it is warm, dry and the flowers are at their best. Very hard to achieve.
