August 20th, weather overcast, but warm, we went to Rosalea's garden for tea, it is amazing, so much growing, she has very green fingers and spends hours working in it. Tea was enjoyed ans then members enjoyed walking round the garden and admiring all the had work that goes into it.

The weather was not so kind, cold and over cast, looked like rain so we decided to move the meeting to the church hall. Annie showed a power point show of HOPS from 2000 Starting with the carnival looking at the float, HOPS had a flint stones theme, Eddie, Annie, Arthur Gissing and Peter Bath,as Wilma, Betty, Fred and Barney. Emma ans Nicholas Curran were pebbles and Bam-Bam. It was good looking at the happy times we had had, and seeing pictures of those who are no longer with us.

Marylynne, lady from Russet homes came to visit and to donate £300, Mrs Beavis was the moving force, this money will pay for the coach to Allington when we go on the paddle steamer up the Midway, through Maidstone, enjoying our fish and chips. This is in September so we hope we get a good day.
